REA Group CEO Declares War On Web2.0, Zillow, Globrix, Puppies, and Small Children

Well, maybe not the part about puppies and small children, but maybe if the interview had lasted longer?…
I had to smile when reading GlobalEdge’s interview with Simon Baker. In just a few quotes he manages to completely rubbish all the web2.0 startups, trash zillow’s possibilities of revenue generation, and even attack a real estate startup funded by News Corp, the largest shareholder in his own company.
Never one to mince words, Simon
In the same newsletter, some kind words for Properazzi:
Launched in 2007, Properazzi is perhaps the most ambitious property portal on the internet. Their aim is to be the world’s largest property search engine and with 3 million properties, they are well on their way to achieving this.
This comment was in an article covering the world’s most innovative real estate websites. Besides the bit about ourselves, I actually learned of a couple of sites I’d never heard of before, and refreshed my knowledge of others we already know and respect. The guys at GlobalEdge have been doing a good job of putting together some very insightful research.
